Teaching English in Kindergarten

When I teach English in Kindergarten ( 3, 4 and 5 years old kid) I take into account several aspects such as:

• Activities have to be short as their attention span is low.
• Activities have to be dynamic so that they can move ...Kids at early stages need to move constantly.
• These activities have to be appealing.
• I only teach oral English as is the way in which kids learn their mother language.
• I sing a lot in class.
• Games are very important as well as Story telling.
• I like to teach vocabulary related to their interests ( animals, family, etc).
• I teach English with a communicative perspective.

A la hora de enseñar inglés en Infantil ( con alumnos de 3, 4 y 5 años) tengo en cuenta diferents aspectos:

• Las actividades tiene que ser cortas, ya que los niños tiene poco tiempo de atención.
• Las actividades tienen que ser dinámicas. Los niños necesitan moverse constantemente.
• Tienen que ser atractivas.
• Solamente enseño inglés oral ya que es así como los niños aprenden su lengua materna.
• Cantamos mucho en clase.
• Los juegos orales e historias son recursos muy importantes que uso en clase.
• Me gusta enseñar vocabulario relacionado con sus intereses ( animales, familia..).
• Enseñar inglés desde un enfoque comunicativo.
